This is a ChessUSA exclusive chess set that is fantastic for use at home or while traveling. It features high gloss black and natural chess pieces with felted bottoms and a traditional German Staunton classic design. The chessmen feature a 3 1/4" king and have felted bottoms with weight added for feel and balance.
The chessboard itself has a felt bottom and a semi-gloss sheen with rounded corners. The board features 1 1/2" squares and is appropriate as an accent piece without being too small to play. The chess set can certainly be left out on display on a coffee or end table, but it comes with a sturdy zippered case with handle for storage and travel.
This chess set comes in a rosewood finish with brown and tan pieces, a black finish with black and tan pieces, or a walnut finish featuring a walnut board with black and tan pieces.
The storage case features individual slots in foam to protect each piece and ample space to also store the chess board. A handle makes travel and storage a breeze.
