The Airmar B164 is a bronze thru-hull transducer with a 12° tilted element, designed for 50/200 kHz operation and 1 kW output. It is a flush-mounted option for trailered boats and center-console setups where a fairing cannot be used.
This model is made for 8° to 15° hull deadrise angles and extends less than 6.35 mm (1/4") below the hull. The ceramic arrays are angled inside the housing to create a vertical beam with maximum energy directly below the boat. It supports depth and fast-response water-temperature sensing, uses a 2 M (6.5') cable, and requires a Mix & Match cable with an Airmar 9-Pin (MM1) connector.
Key specs include 50 kHz with a 22° beamwidth for depth performance to 549 m (1800'), 200 kHz with a 6° beamwidth for depth performance to 244 m (800'), and compatibility with any 600 W or 1 kW echo sounder. The bronze housing is suitable for fiberglass or wood hulls, with a hole size of 95 mm (3-3/4") and usable shaft length of 71 mm (2.80").
