By Kobudo Master instructors Brian Ricci and Frank Gaviola of the Zen Bei Butoku Kai. Each learned these forms directly from Hanshi Richard Kim of the Butoku Kai. Richard Kim learned them directly from Toyama Kanken and Hiroshi Kinjo at the end of WWII in Yokohama Japan. Both Gaviola and Ricci have won several national and international competitions with these forms done the traditional way.Ricci and Gaviola have done a masterful job in teaching these forms and more importantly the basics of each weapon which should be mastered before going on to learning the kata's. They learned all these basics from years of training with Hanshi Richard Kim who learned them from Hiroshi Kinjo and Toyama Kanken in post WWII Japan.
