This is a teaching and demonstration tape for the famous Yang Style T'ai Chi Straight Sword (Taiji Jian) by Ted Mancuso.
Unlike many instruction tapes, it includes a substantial discussion of how to manipulate the sword itself, not just a repeat of the postures. It also offers a clear look at Ted Mancuso’s teaching style and the martial heritage behind T'ai Chi Sword.
Contents include a thorough introductory discussion of the sword itself, fundamental exercises for timing, stepping, and flexibility, the T'ai Chi Sword form demonstrated from front and side views, a complete breakdown of the steps for learning the form, and applications of T'ai Chi fencing, usage, and partner exercises.
Part of the Combat Sports > MMA & Martial Arts category, and a useful companion to Chinese Kung Fu 10 Road Tan Tui Spring Leg Form Dvd Ted Mancuso Praying Mantis.
