Roberto Torres' style of Kalasag Kuntao Silat is based on three systems: Petjut Kilat Silat, Visitacion Kuntao and Wu Kung Kuntao. He was given permission to teach this system by his instructors.
In this DVD, you'll learn Balangkas (Stepping Forms) one through six, Kalasag Kamay (Shielding Hands), Salag (Blocks), Tulay Kamay (Bridging Hands), Sikaran (Kicking) and Laban Kamay (Fighting Hands). Fairly comprehensive instruction covers footwork patterns, blows & elbow locks/breaks, defenses, a kicking form, and more. Torres includes a leg/shin disruption and Silat's version of Centerline theory, and a free flow/multiple opponent drill with Torres defending against his assistants. 55 minutes.
