Sportsmith cable by the foot is a 1/4" diameter cable with the standard black nylon coating for selectorized strength equipment.
This cable is actually 3/16" wire rope coated to 1/4", and the coating must be stripped from the cable to crimp fittings. The wire rope without coating is 3/16", with a 4,200lb tensile strength per foot and 7 x 19 strand construction.
