This Stairmaster whisper drive engine is a replacement part for Stairmaster 8G stepmill models 9-5270 and 9-5250. It combines the transmission (gearbox), brake, and alternator in one unit.
It fits machines with serial numbers SM5270L19180138 to Current. Built with an added reinforcement gusset to remove flex, a harmonic damper to reduce vibration, and a bearing housing between the brake and transmission (gearbox) bracket to stabilize the pulley shaft.
