The Lake Country HDO Blue Heavy Polishing Pad 3.5" x 1" is a foam polishing pad designed for long throw polishers. Its dual-layer construction helps deliver an even polish with less concern about overheating and other damage.
Blue pads are used for heavy defects, harder paint surfaces, and deep etching. Use this pad with medium to heavy cutting compounds. The design combines the benefits of thick and thin pads, along with the advantages of a tapered profile and exact fit style pads.
The dual-layer foam reduces lateral/horizontal movement to help reduce molecular friction inside the pad, improving durability by limiting excessive heat and foam fatigue. HDO pads also block heat transfer between layers, and the center cooling chamber dissipates heat away from the middle of the pad.
This pad provides even pressure distribution like an exact fit pad, while the tapered edge helps prevent pad rolling and supports good pad rotation on curved and contoured panels.
