Analyse Du Je Des D'echecs - French Edition is a chess book by Andre Danican Philidor, published by Ishi Press in 2009(2nd). It contains 650 pages and uses Descriptive (DN) notation.
Francois-Andre Danican Philidor (1726-1795) is widely regarded as the strongest chess player ever in history prior to the modern era. The edition reprinted here was originally published in 1871 by C. Sanson, showing how long Philidor’s work remained a standard reference.
This book includes 68 games by Philidor as compiled by George Walker in 1832. Those 68 games are also converted into modern algebraic notation in the appendix to this book.
