Chess For Amateurs is a book from Ishi Press for the aspiring amateur who wants to study games played by players at a similar level.
It focuses on the kinds of mistakes that are repeatedly made in amateur chess, explains why they happen, and helps the reader learn how to avoid them and take advantage of them when an opponent does. The games are supplemented by diagrammed positions from actual play for additional practice in evaluating puzzling situations.
