Chess Survivor – The Last of the Greats is a chess book by Quality Chess that tells the life story of Andor Lilienthal and presents his annotated best games.
Lilienthal was one of the 27 original grandmasters named by FIDE in 1950. Douglas Griffin translated the book from Russian and added 17 games to the 60 that Lilienthal annotated. Lilienthal met or played all the World Champions of the 20th century, and he also won a game against Lasker. His best-known win is against Capablanca in 1935.
