The First Anglo-Pacific Invitational Chess Championship is a chess book from Caissa Editions presenting the games with exceptionally fine notes by Osbun.
It features Roger Chapman of Australia, who won ahead of Claude Pare (Canada), Max Salm (Australia), Chris Van Dyke (USA), David Eisen (USA), and 12 other top notch postal players from North America and the Pacific. The book also highlights three ICCF IM's Muir, Tennant, and Salm, plus three players — Glaser, Keast, and Henri — who have played on Olympic teams. Salm has played in three World Championships.
The description of correspondence chess literature notes that this field is still rather meager despite the many high-class postal games played worldwide. With games full of twists and turns and detailed explanations by IM Osbun, this volume is a significant addition to postal chess documentation.
