The Sicilian Rossolimo for White by Victor Bologan is a Chessbase chess training focused on the Rossolimo Variation 3.Bb5 against the Sicilian Defence.
Bologan explains why 3.Bb5 is one of the strongest replies to 2...Nc6, and how it steers sharp attacking players away from the Open Sicilian into a more positional game full of manoeuvres and nuances. The course also covers key ideas after 3...g6 and 3...e6, including the practical plan of 4.Bxc6.
Video running time: 5 hours. Bologan was introduced to 3.Bb5 by Vecheslav Chebanenko, whose work on the doubled pawns after taking on c6 shaped the opening’s modern treatment. Viktor Bologan is a pupil of Vecheslav Chebanenko, was Moldova’s number 1 for many years, represented his country in eight chess Olympiads, and won both the Aeroflot Open and Dortmund in 2003.
