The Comfort Zone is a chess book from Thinkers Publishing by Daniel, a chess professional with over twenty years of tournament experience in the U.K. and abroad.
He has represented England in the European team championships and the Olympiad, finished highly in the British chess championships, tied for second on several occasions, and won the English rapidplay championships twice. In 2005, he scored his final Grandmaster norm in Gibraltar with a 2693 performance against world-class opponents including Nakamura, Aronian, Sutovsky, and Dreev, losing only one game.
Written in a laid-back, humorous style, this memoir explores why players succeed in some events and not others, how to understand your comfort zone, and how Daniel used computers to improve his chess.
