The Modern Levenfish Attack in the Dragon Defense by Syzgy focuses on the attacking move 6 f4 against the Dragon Defense, a line that appeared in tournament praxis more than half a century ago.
White avoids the heavily analyzed Yugoslav Attack (6 Be3, 7 f3 and 8 Qd2) and the well-tested Classical Variation (6 Be2, 7 Be3 and 8 00) in favor of immediate central complications. The book also covers the two classical main lines 6...Bg7 and 6...Nc6 in PARTS 6-11.
Earlier tries, 6... Bg4 and 6..Qb6 in PARTS 1-2, have virtually dropped from contemporary play. Browse more titles in Accessories > Chess Books, or compare it with Clearance - The Modern Center Attack In The Ruy Lopez.
