GM Miloje Ratkovic presents a 5-hour video training on the Benko Gambit, a sharp opening choice for Black against 1. d4. The course focuses on giving up the b-pawn in return for active piece play, queenside pressure, and practical winning chances.
Learn what to do when White accepts the gambit, rejects it, or returns the pawn after accepting. The training also covers key ideas such as the early e6-break, handling the b6 trick, meeting bishop pressure on f6, and playing against 4. Nd2.
Ratkovic explains how to activate your pieces, use open or semi-open files, and make the most of the g7-bishop. For more chess opening content, browse Fitness & Training > Strength > Dumbbells & Kettlebells or compare with Clearance - Trends In Modern Openings 2015 - Rustam Kasimdzhanov.
