Learn from Download - Chessbase Training - Understanding Middlegame Strategy Vol.14 by The House Of Staunton. Grandmaster Ivan Sokolov continues his series "Understanding Middlegame Structures" with a deep look at the Colour-Reversed Benoni, the Colour-Reversed Benko Gambit, and the Colour-Reversed Blumenfeld Gambit.
This Fritztrainer focuses on pawn structures and long-term plans. It shows how Black’s dynamic piece activity and structural counterplay can compensate for White’s extra tempo in these colour-reversed setups, with emphasis on open files, active diagonals, and queenside play. The course is ideal for advanced chess players who want to strengthen their understanding of this rich opening family.
Delivered as a Fritztrainer app for Windows and Mac, it is available as a download or on DVD. It includes a video course with a running time of approx. 4-8 hrs, a repertoire database, interactive exercises with video feedback, and sample games as a ChessBase database. It is also available as a stream in the ChessBase video port.
