Learn To Play Chess by Cico Kidz is a chess activity book by Jessica E Martin designed to help you improve your skills through 35 fun activities.
This is not just a textbook about the rules. Try Face Off with two rooks and bishops of each color, or play Rookie Cookie, where the rook can go as far as it wants and move in any direction. Create-a-Mate helps you learn the vital skill of following activity and working pieces as pairs.
Every activity includes clear, easy-to-follow instructions and colorful artworks so you can see exactly where pieces should be on the chessboard. Helpful hints and tips appear throughout, and there is also a Starting Out section if you need a reminder of a rule or how a piece moves.
