This is Elements Of Positional Evaluation: How The Pieces Get Their Power, a chess book by Dan Heisman from Russell Enterprises.
Now in its fourth edition, it focuses on the static evaluation of each piece’s value and its role in the overall position. It helps players answer the key questions: who stands better, by how much, and why?
Many players rely on unstructured methods to judge chess positions; this book addresses that problem with a clearer approach to evaluating pieces and positions.
