Tactics Time 2 is a chess tactics book from New In Chess by Tim Brennan and Anthea Carson, featuring 1001 fresh and instructive positions drawn from real amateur chess games.
Instead of relying on grandmaster or master games, this book focuses on practical patterns you are more likely to meet, including a knight fork, an overloaded piece, and a weak back rank. It is designed for beginners and casual players who want to sharpen tactical awareness and improve overall play.
Working through these examples can help you spot tactical shots more easily, build confidence, use less time on the clock, and beat more opponents. Explore more titles in Accessories > Chess Books or compare with Nic Yearbook 121 - Paperback Edition.
