A step-by-step chess toolbox that accompanies the picture book Someday I'll Be a Queen and helps children learn chess in a playful way.
It includes tips and games that follow the rules of chess, with a teaching approach designed for teachers, parents, grandparents, and chess coaches. The method is to take it piece by piece, rehearse each chess piece, and keep lessons simple and fun.
The description recommends working with small groups of 6 to 8 children for a maximum of 30 minutes at a time. It also emphasizes using the language of the child’s environment and not overwhelming them with too many rules at once.
