The 2015 Sinquefield Cup Commemorative Edition Series Chess Pieces are a limited edition tribute to one of chess’s most notable tournaments. This set is an exact replica of the set used by the players and honors a field that included Magnus Carlsen, Viswanathan Anand, Veselin Topalov, Hikaru Nakamura, Fabiano Caruana, Anish Giri, Wesley So, Alexander Grischuk, Levon Aronian, and Maxime Vachier-Lagrave.
This commemorative chess set is limited to only 25 and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. The chessmen are full-tournament sized and include a 3.8" King with a 1.7" diameter base. Each set contains 34 chessmen, including four Queens, and features the Imperial Collector Knight with a downturned head, flowing mane, and aggressive facial expression.
The set is new and includes an original manufacturer's plaque indicating the production number, with adhesive backing for placement on the underside of a chess box. A FREE House of Staunton Premium Chess Box is also included, laser engraved with the Sinquefield Cup name and logo on the lid.
