About the Chessmen
The 2015 Sinquefield Chess pieces are a full-tournament sized Chess set and features a 3.8" King with a 1.7" diameter base. They are hand carved and crafted by our master artisans and includes a majestic Imperial Collector Knight. With it's downturned head, flowing mane and aggressive facial expression. this is one of the finest Knights ever to grace the 64 square battlefield. The Chessmen are new and each set consists of 34 Chessmen, including four Queens, a standard that was introduced by The House of Staunton over 10 years ago.The Chess Set comes with an original manufacturer's plaque indicating the production number, with an adhesive backing that would allow it to be affixed to the underside of a Chess box.
