The American Staunton Chess Set, Box & Board Combination pairs a striking American Staunton wood chess set with a matching wooden board and slide-top box.
The chessmen include a king that stands 3 3/4 inches tall with a 1 5/8 inch base. The knight features the traditional raised head with his ears laid back, teeth bared, and nostrils flared.
The board is the House of Staunton Standard Traditional Tiger Ebony / Maple wooden Chess Board, with Tiger Ebony (dark) and Maple (light) squares, a Tiger Ebony frame, a 0.5" thick veneered build, a delimiter separating the frame and the squares, and a satin finish. The Slide Top Chess Box includes a removable green pillow lining and is designed to hold chess pieces from 3.0" to 4.4".
