The Collector Series Plastic Chess Pieces from The House Of Staunton are full-tournament sized premium plastic chessmen featuring a 4.0" King with a 1.875" diameter base.
Crafted to replicate the design and proportions of the original Staunton pattern Chessmen, this set reflects the style registered by Nathaniel Cooke in March of 1849 and first manufactured by Jaques of London in September 1849. These chess pieces are the heaviest sets on the market and include felt base pads on the undersides of the Chessmen.
A defining detail of this collection is the open-mitered Bishop and Knight design, modeled after the noble steeds from the Greek Parthenon (Elgin Marbles). Choose from the available color options: Collector - 4.0" King - Red & Natural, Collector - 4.0" King - Black & White, Collector - 4.0" King - Black & Natural, and Collector - 4.0" King - Red & White.
