This is a Berkeley Chess replica of the Isle of Lewis chess pieces, featuring the 3.5" King in a metallic finish. The design is based on the original chessmen discovered on the Isle of Lewis off the west coast of Scotland.
The Isle of Lewis chessmen are now housed safely in the British Museum of London and in Edinburgh. This version is Berkeley Chess’s interpretation of the famous set, inspired by the ancient handcarved pieces that were found in 1831.
