Frank Ross Anderson (1928-1980) was, in the 1950s, one of the best Western chess players and a giant of Canadian chess, representing Canada in the 1954, 1958 and 1964 Olympiads. He was awarded the International Master title in 1954 for his performance on board two in the Olympiad. He was also twice Canadian Champion. This book combines a biography of Anderson together with 523 of his games with annotations either by Anderson himself, from contemporary magazine articles or by the author. John Donaldson has used Anderson's own writings as well as contemporary articles and conversation with people who knew Anderson to tell the story of this Canadian Chess Master.
