This Lifefitness ball and shank cable fitting is made for use with 3/16" wire rope. The coated cable diameter is 1/4".
Cable coating should be stripped before crimping the fitting to the cable. Ball and shank cable fittings are designed to be rotary-swaged with tool and die, and it is not recommended to hand crimp this type of fitting.
