The Lake Country SDO Orange Polishing Pad 5.5" x 7/8" is a Standard Duty Orbital pad designed for random orbital DA polishers with a center ventilated backing plate.
SDO pads deliver the same foams as the HDO line without the dual-layer construction. The center hole creates a tunnel to release and dissipate heat from the foam, helping reduce surface temperatures and lowering the chance of paint damage. It is designed for consistent performance, firmness throughout the heat cycle, and maximum durability with a long-throw polisher.
Orange foam is used for fine scratches and general light swirls with a medium cut compound or polish. It can also work as a cutting pad on softer paints or as a finishing pad on harder paint surfaces for a brilliant gloss. The tapered edge helps prevent pad rolling, improves rotation, and makes it easier to polish curved, contoured, and tight areas. Fits backing plate: 5".
