Botvinnik Versus Smyslov And Petrosian is a New In Chess book featuring Mikhail Botvinnik’s own account of his clashes with Vasily Smyslov and his match with Tigran Petrosian.
The first part covers Botvinnik’s view of three World Championship matches and the preparation behind them. It also includes his game analyses, strategic comments on his opponents, annotations and writings by Smyslov, Petrosian and other top grandmasters, the games of a secret training match, and Botvinnik’s legendary notebooks, including the final one with his preparation for a match with Bobby Fischer in 1969.
