The Georgian Series Timeless Chess Set from The House of Staunton is a reproduction of one of the oldest and rarest Pre-Staunton Pattern chess sets encountered by the brand, dating back to use during the 1770s.
This set features a 4.4" King with a 1.4" diameter base and includes 34 chessmen with four Queens. The pieces are hand carved by master artisans, crafted from the highest grade woods, heavily weighted, and finished with billiard cloth base pads and a beautiful antiqued finish. The Ebonized (black) army is finished antiqued as well.
