Meet the Fide Official World Championship Of Chess Series Pieces-3.75" King from Chess World—part of the official World Chess set, also known as the World Chess Championship Set.
Designed in 2012 by Daniel Weil of Pentagram for World Chess, the set was refined with input from Magnus Carlsen, Vladimir Kramnik, and other chess stars. The design was tested for comfortable handling with two fingers or with a grip, then premiered at the Candidates Tournament in London in 2013.
Before Championship use, the set was reviewed in detail by FIDE’s panel of experts and unanimously approved. Browse more in Accessories > Chess Pieces or compare with the 2015 Sinquefield Cup Commemorative Edition Series Chess Pieces - 3.8" King.
