It is made from the finest beech natural and stained wood, with Birch pieces featuring an artistic design that has been hand burnt into the chess pieces by the artisans. The King and Queen pieces include crowns made of the opposing wood type for a striking color contrast.
The complimentary chess board is designed to provide the right contrast for the beech and birch pieces, and it has a rich lacquered finish. It also features traditional rank and file labels, folds in half for easy storage, and includes two compartments inside for storing the chess pieces when not in use.
