The DGT Project's Electronic Chessboard is an electronic chess board with USB connection for playing computer chess and recreating a tournament-style experience at home.
It features beautifully inlaid wood, official FIDE Tournament size squares measuring 2.25 in x 2.25 in or 5.5 x 5.5 cm, and a board thickness of .75 in or 1.8 cm. Modern sensor technology recognizes each piece accurately and fast, identifying each piece by color and type. The board also has internal memory for 500 moves, and a driver CD is included.
This board can be used to broadcast chess games over the Internet, support tournament presentation, and let the computer analyze games while you play a human opponent. It can also be connected to the DGT XL or DGT 3000 Digital Chess Clock, sold separately.
