The Open Sicilian is a chess book by Croatian grandmaster Ivan Saric that presents an ambitious White repertoire against the Sicilian Defence.
Based on his acclaimed Chessable course, this just-over-400-page volume covers the full range of Sicilians, from obscure sidelines to the main lines: the Najdorf, the Taimanov, the Rauzer, the Kan, the Sveshnikov, and the various Dragons. Saric’s approach is firmly rooted in the ideas of the English Attack, with deep analysis and detailed verbal explanation throughout.
This is not a phonebook of engine lines, but a practical textbook built on 21st-century chess understanding for 1.e4 players who want to be fully prepared against 1...c5. Learn more in Chess Books or explore related reading like Chess Camp - Volume 1.
