Okinawan Karate and Kobudo Legends #14. Eisuke Akamine: Kobudo Hozon Shinkokai. Eisuke Akamine was a direct student of Taira Shinken and his senior student. He was the second president of "Ryu Kyu Kobudo Hozon Shinkokai" until his passing. In this DVD; which was shot in the 1960's by Mr. Taiju Lee; you will see Akamine Sensei performing many of the katas he learned from Taira Sensei. Like his teacher; Taira; he was also interested in preserving the ancient art of Kobudo for future generations. There is also a short interview with Mr. Lee about his training with Akamine Sensei and then he does a demonstration of the forms he learned from Master Akamine. Approx. 20 minutes.
