The Lake Country HDO Orange Polishing Pad 5.5" x 1" is a foam polishing pad designed for long throw polishers. Its dual-layer design helps create a smooth, even polish with less worry about overheating and other damage.
Orange pads are used for fine scratches, general light swirls, and medium cut compound or polish. On softer paints, the orange foam can work as a cutting pad; on harder paint surfaces, it is a strong choice for finishing to a brilliant gloss. The design combines the benefits of thick and thin pads, plus the advantages of a tapered profile and exact fit style pads.
HDO pads block heat transfer between layers, reduce lateral/horizontal movement, and help increase durability by reducing molecular friction, excessive heat, and foam fatigue. The center cooling chamber helps dissipate heat away from the center of the pad for better temperature control and performance on curved and contoured panels.
