Two Masters is a Chessbase CD that brings together John Donaldson’s books Elmars Zemgalis - Grandmaster without a Title and Olaf Ulvestad - An American Original in full, with additional content.
The collection highlights two masters with strong ties to Europe. Elmars Zemgalis was born in Latvia, lived in Germany after World War II, celebrated his greatest triumphs there, and emigrated to the USA in 1952. Olaf Ulvestad was American by birth, with ancestors from Norway, and became known on the chess scene at the legendary Soviet Union vs. USA match in Moscow in 1946.
Ulvestad’s authentic report on that event is included on the CD. For more chess software, see Accessories > Chess Software or related titles like Clearance - Power Of Planning - Adrian Mikhalchishin.
