Pushing Horizons: The Chess Legacy of GM Vladimir Akopian is a hardcover chess book by Thinkers Publishing, presented in four carefully arranged parts.
It includes 25 memorable games, 50 memorable fragments, 75 studies, and 150 best chess problems. The games span 1991–2010 and include seven games against world champions. The fragments span 1982–2016, and some early examples were not included in databases. In the studies section, 50 of the 75 studies are drawn for White and 25 are won for White.
Akopian also notes that composing studies is far more difficult than problems, and that this collection was chosen to offer something worthwhile in each of the 300 snippets.
