The Calvert Bone Luxury Chess Pieces - 3.25" King are a finely detailed reproduction of an early 1800s English Playing Chess Set design known in the literature as a Calvert Pattern.
These actual hand carved bone chessmen are crafted from bone that was hand selected by our lead craftsman to ensure only the purest, whitest bone was used. The result is a striking set with a color and appearance very similar to the original Calvert sets.
