The Circa 1920 Drueke No. 4 Chess Pieces are a 34-piece chess set with a 4.0" King and a 1.44" diameter base.
Each set is hand carved by master artisans, crafted from the highest grade woods, and heavily weighted with luxurious billiard cloth base pads and a beautiful finish. The set includes four Queens, a standard introduced by The House of Staunton in 1993.
These are new chessmen and an exact reproduction of the original Drueke No. 4 set from Mr. Charles W. Grau's collection. The original Drueke No. 4 chessmen were American-made circa 1920 by Wm. F. Drueke & Co. in Grand Rapids, MI U.S.A. and were originally sold “to dealers only.”
