The Collector Series Plastic Chess Pieces from The House Of Staunton are a full-tournament sized premium plastic set with a 3.75" King and a 1.75" diameter base.
Crafted to replicate the design and proportions of the original Staunton pattern Chessmen, these pieces follow the pattern registered by Nathaniel Cooke in March of 1849 and first manufactured by Jaques of London in September 1849. The set also features the distinctive open-mitered Bishop and Knight design modeled after the noble steeds from the Greek Parthenon (Elgin Marbles).
This set is known for its heavy weight and felt base pads on the undersides of the Chessmen. Available in color options including Black & White, Black & Natural, Red & White, and Red & Natural.
