The Reykjavik II Series Electronic Chess Pieces are a faithful reproduction of the set used in the legendary 1972 World Chess Championship between Bobby Fischer and Boris Spassky.
This full tournament-sized set includes a 3.75" King with a 1.6" diameter base. Each piece is hand carved from the highest grade woods, heavily weighted, and finished with luxurious billiard cloth base pads. The set consists of 34 chessmen, including four Queens.
Built for practical play, the design features reinforced Pawn collars and oversized Rook ramparts for added durability. These pieces are designed specifically for use with the DGT Projects electronic chess board, which must be purchased separately. NOTE: These pieces will not work with the DGT Pegasus Chess Board or DGT Centaur Chess Computer.
