The Ercolano Series Luxury Chess Pieces are a full club-sized chess set from The House of Staunton, designed for practical play with a refined look.
Each set features a 4.3" King with a 1.85" diameter base. The chess pieces are hand carved by master artisans and crafted out of the highest grade woods. They are heavily weighted, with the Kings featuring English Leather embossed with the House of Staunton logo. All other pieces feature luxurious billiard cloth base pads and a beautiful finish.
This new chessmen set consists of 34 Chessmen, including four Queens, a standard introduced by The House of Staunton in 1993. Each set also includes an Individually Numbered Certificate of Authenticity and an original manufacturer's plaque indicating the production number, with an adhesive backing that would allow it to be affixed to the underside of a Chess box.
