The Mammoth Ivory Collector Series Luxury Chess Pieces are a full Club-sized chess set from The House Of Staunton, featuring a 4.4" King with a 2.0" diameter base.
Each of the 34 chessmen is hand carved from Mammoth Ivory. The Black army is crafted from Mammoth Ivory lacquered black for contrast, and the pieces are presented au natural with nothing on the underside so the grain can be appreciated. Because of the natural weight of Mammoth Ivory, no artificial weighting is required.
This new chess set includes four Queens, a standard introduced by The House Of Staunton in 1993, plus an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity and an original manufacturer's label with adhesive backing.
