The Morphy Series Luxury Chess Pieces are a full club-sized chess set from The House of Staunton, featuring a 4.4" King with a 1.825" diameter base.
These chessmen are hand carved by master artisans from the highest grade woods. They are heavily weighted, with Kings featuring English Leather embossed with the House of Staunton logo and the other pieces finished with luxurious billiard cloth base pads.
Designed as a reintroduction of a Jaques of London pattern produced between 1850 and 1851, this set captures the board presence and craftsmanship of classic Staunton design. Each set is new and includes 34 Chessmen, including four Queens, a standard introduced by The House of Staunton in 1993.
