The Novara Series Luxury Chess Pieces are a premium chessmen set from The House Of Staunton, designed with a 4.2" King and a 1.75" diameter base.
Each piece is hand carved by master artisans and crafted from the highest grade woods. The set is heavily weighted and features House of Staunton English Leather basepads on the King, plus luxurious billiard cloth base pads on the other chess pieces.
This new set consists of 34 chessmen, including four Queens, a standard introduced by The House of Staunton in 1993. It also includes a Certificate of Authenticity and an original manufacturer's plaque with adhesive backing for placement on the underside of a chess box.
