The Royale Series Chess Pieces are a full tournament-sized chess set from The House of Staunton, designed with a distinctive look and practical play in mind.
This set features a 4.0" King with a 1.6" diameter base. Each piece is hand carved by master artisans from the highest grade woods, then heavily weighted and fitted with luxurious billiard cloth base pads for a refined finish.
The Royale Series stands apart with its Kings' fleur de lis and Queens' finials, giving the set a unique artistic style while keeping the balance and functionality needed for regular play. Each new set includes 34 Chessmen, including four Queens, a standard introduced by The House of Staunton in 1993.
