The St. Petersburg Series Luxury Chess Pieces by The House Of Staunton recreate the celebrated turn-of-the-century St. Petersburg design by Jaques of London, with the form, board presence, and craftsmanship collectors value.
This set features a 4.4" King with a 2" diameter base. Each chess piece is hand carved by master artisans from the highest grade woods, heavily weighted, and finished with luxurious billiard cloth base pads on the other chess pieces.
Each new set includes 34 Chessmen, including four Queens, a standard introduced by The House Of Staunton in 1993. You also receive an Individually Numbered Certificate of Authenticity and an original manufacturer's plaque with adhesive backing for the underside of a chess box.
