The Sultan Series Luxury Chess Pieces are an heirloom-quality chess set from The House of Staunton, featuring a 4.0" King with a 1.85" diameter base and heavy weighting.
Each piece is hand carved by master artisans from the highest grade woods. The Kings have gold embossed English Leather base pads, while the other chess pieces feature luxurious billiard cloth base pads and a beautiful finish.
This new chessmen set consists of 34 Chessmen, including four Queens, a standard introduced by The House of Staunton in 1993. It also includes an Individually Numbered Certificate of Authenticity and an original manufacturer's plaque with adhesive backing for the underside of a chess box.
