The Sultan Series Prestige Chess Pieces are heirloom-quality Staunton pattern chessmen designed by Maestro Frank A. Camaratta, Jr. This set features a 4.4" King with a 2.0" diameter base and a very heavily weighted feel.
Each set is hand carved by master artisans from Genuine Ebony and Blood Rosewood. The Kings have gold embossed English Leather base pads, while the other chess pieces have luxurious billiard cloth base pads. A beautiful finish completes the design.
The set includes 34 chessmen, including four Queens, a standard introduced by The House of Staunton in 1993. Each set also comes with an Individually Numbered Certificate of Authenticity and an original manufacturer's plaque with adhesive backing.
